NATIONAL
COMMITTEE.
EXECUTIVE
Section i—It shall be the province of the National Executive Com-
mittee to carry on the business of the Association under the regula-
tions as may be prescribed by the Council, and otherwise at its discre-
tion.
The Committee must report its proceedings to the Council.
Section u.— The National Executive Committee shall meet six times
a
year, including the meetings immediately before and immediately
after the National Council Meetings, and shall have the power
to
choose the time and place of such meetings.
Twenty-five Members
shall form a quorum.
Section iil.—In the interim of these meetings the business of the
Asso-
ciation shall be conducted by a Sub-Committee of the National
Executive, consisting of the President, Acting Vice-President,
Hon. Secretaries and Treasurer, and the Hon. General Secretary
of the Y’s, and eight or more members of the National Executiv
e
Committee to be chosen by that Committee.
Seven members
shall form a quorum.
The Sub-Committee shall report to the
National Executive Committee at its Quarterly Meetings.
The
Sub-Committee shall appoint its own Office Secretary.
XIV.—DEPARTMENTS
OF
WORK.
The work of the Association shall be embraced under the following
heads :—
PREVENTIVE.
EVANGELISTIC.
LEGAL.
EDUCATIONAL.
SOCIAL.
POLITICAL,
ORGANIZATION.
_ These shall be divided and sub-divided into departments, each
of
which shall be placed in charge of a Superintendent.
The Executive Committee shall have power to create such depart-
ments of work under these heads as ‘they shall deem advisable
for the
strengthening of the Temperance reform, subject to the ratificat
ion of
the Annual Council.
No department shall be binding upon any local or affiliated societies
of the Association,
but shall be considered as a recommendation from
