66 67 FRATERNAL DELEGATES.—Miss Agnes Slack then presented to the Miss Council Mrs. Kirkland and Mrs. Allen Douglas (New Zealand). Dunhill (India) ; Miss Tinling, who was returning to America, where she has lately been working ; and Miss Florence Balgarnie, recently returned from a tour in Australasia and in India, were also cordially welcomed. LocaL Oprion.—Proposition THURSDAY Miss Balgarnie moved this resolution, Mrs. Dale, of Penzance, and carried. seconded 16th, r904, a motion in favour of the Enfranchisement Sunpay CLOSING OF PuBLIC-HOUSES.—Miss it was seconded and carried :— of Women. LITERATURE DEPARTMENT. — Miss Hunt, Secretary, read the report of this Department, the adoption of which was moved by Mrs. Emmett and Mrs. Stubley, and carried. Mrs. Gamble thanked the President for her generous distribution to the Branches of literature on the Government Licensing Bill. Press DEPARTMENT.—Miss Slack read this report, and Mrs. Drysdale and Mrs. Hamill moved its adoption, which was carried. REFORM DEPARTMENT.—Miss Yates read the report, and it was adopted, on the motion of Mrs. Pearsall Smith and Mrs. Hughes.
