ing recommendation of the N.E.C. was adopted :—

“This Council views with satisfaction the recommendation of the British
Medical Association regarding instruction in physiology and hygiene,
including scientific temperance instruction in schools, and begs to
record its gratitude for same.”

“That the B.W.T.A. wish to express their sincere gratitude for the very
able and efficient manner in which Miss Harris Smith has audited
their accounts during the past ten years and for the painstaking
and conscientious interest which she has always manifested in the
well-being of the Association, and they desire emphatically to assure
her that the change on which they have reluctantly decided is
independent of their unshaken confidence in the way she has
undertaken the work.”
Drawinc-Room MEeEetINcs.—Mrs. Boden read the report, which
was adopted, on the motion of Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Slack.
Sociat Instirutes.—The report was read by Mrs. Tom Mitchell.
Mrs. Crosfield and Mrs. Gemmill proposed the adoption of the report,
with sincere thanks to Mrs. Mitchell.
Carried.
Rescue Work.—Sister Margaret presented the report, which, on
motion, was adopted.
CoFrFEE Houses aND CorrEE Carts.—Mrs. Paddon asked to
have the report taken as read, as it would be printed in the annual
report.
