WomEN’s SUFFRAGE.—Miss Lile explained that she had not
prepared a report, seeing that early in the year the Sub-Committee had
decided to recommend the amalgamation of this department with the
Political Department.
ORGANIZATION DEPARTMENT.—Miss Hunt read this report, after
which Miss Staveley, Miss Sands, and Miss Porritt briefly addressed
the Council.
Lady Carlisle read the list of membership in the counties in pro-
portion to population, wkich she had prepared, and which will be
printed and sent to N.E.C. and County Union Secretaries.

report on this subject was taken as read.
Lady Carlisle addressed the Council on her re-election as President,
and thanked the members for reposing confidence in her,
District Unions.—The resolution on the agenda was moved by
Miss Tudor and Mrs. Powell, and after discussion was carried by a very
large majority as follows :—
